Weather Decoded Bios
Gavin Nelson
I am the main host and creator of the Weather Decoded podcast. This show airs weekdays on the campus radio station KVSC of St. Cloud State University. I have been working in video and audio production for the last 13 years. Ever since I was younger, I have always had an interest in weather. In the last year, I have had an idea to host my own WX site inspired by the Alabama Weather Network and others who are providing their own local weather reports for their state and region. With there being a gap in local coverage, I knew I had to do something about it. For me, getting the word out with the latest information and warning others is something that is incredibly important. Especially when it comes to big weather events.
I have provided weather reports for the campus radio station KVSC 88.1 FM, weather consultation for the Monticello School District, and assisted with weather consultation for EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with EAA Radio. I am currently minoring in a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. Including a major in a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and a Creative Media emphasis.
I look forward to advancing this website to make it the one-stop shop for Minnesota weather.
