This Weekend

As we head into the rest of this weekend, we will continue to remain cold. We will only get to an afternoon high of around 25 degrees and temperatures will drop throughout the afternoon. Looking at the models, from today through Tuesday, north of the Twin Cities and into Northern Wisconsin could get a dusting of snow. Saturday afternoon, gusts of 40 to 45 miles per hour are expected. This may lead to areas of blowing snow as well as wind chills around 15 below zero.

Twin-Cities Almanac:

The record for high temp set back in 1956 was at 47 degrees. The lowest temperature for the region was set back in 1983 at -35 degrees.

The highest recorded snowfall total for the region was set back in 2010 with 4.8 inches. The lowest snowfall total was set back in 2023 at 0 inches.

Tomorrow-Beginning of the Week:

For Sunday, we will see an afternoon high of around 28 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Overnight, there is also a 30 percent chance of snow with south winds around 5 to 10 miles per hour.

As we head into another week, we will see a warm front move through Sunday night and will see an afternoon high of around 36 degrees.

Next Week:

For the rest of the week, the temperatures will continue to warm up and we could see tempatures in the low 40s by Christmas Day.
